These awards honor educators in grades K-12 who inspire enthusiasm for science with innovative approaches. Award recipients are given $1,000 educational improvement prizes for use in the classroom.

Hall of Fame Student Excellence Awards

Deadline: March 5, 2018
High school science students in the eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey regions will be eligible to receive one of four prestigious student awards. In addition to joining a long list of notable prior winners, each of the four honorees shall receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Utilizing Innovative Practices in K-12 Education

Deadline: March 15, 2018
The Braitmayer Foundation is inviting proposals from programs that utilize innovative practices in K-12 education. Grants of up to $35,000.

Secondary Education, Two-Year Postsecondary Education, and Agriculture in the K-12 Classroom Challenge Grants Program (SPECA)

Deadline: April 4, 2018
The SPECA program seeks to promote and strengthen secondary education and two-year postsecondary education in the food, agriculture, natural resources and human sciences in order to help ensure the existence of a workforce in the United States that is qualified to serve the FANH sciences system. It also promotes complementary and synergistic linkages among secondary, two-year postsecondary and higher education programs in the FANH sciences in order to advance excellence in education and encourage more young Americans to pursue and complete a baccalaureate or higher degree in the FANH sciences.
